Martyr Soleimani United Muslim Ummah against Zionist Regime, Hezbollah Deputy Chief Says

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The deputy secretary general of the Hezbollah resistance movement said Martyr Qassem Soelimani was the only one in the contemporary world that managed to unite the Muslim world against the Zionist regime.

Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remark in an address to an international conference on the school of Martyr Soleimani that kicked off in Tehran on Wednesday.

He said the martyrdom of General Soleimani from Iran and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis from Iraq led to an end to discord and paved the way for more support for the axis of resistance.  

According to Sheikh Qassem, General Soleimani did his best to bring all resistance groups together despite their differences.

The Lebanese cleric also described General Soleimani as a prudent leader who had great foresight.

Also speaking at the international conference was Moroccan scholar and thinker Idris Hani, who said Martyr Qassem Soleimani was a distinctive character in many ways.

He stated that the senior commander changed equations in the region and world.

Hani said that thanks to the strength of the axis of resistance due to the efforts of Martyr Soleimani, the enemies are incapable of launching a new war in the region.

He also described the martyrdom of General Soleimani as a major event that should be analyzed from aspects.

The international conference on the school of Martyr Soleimani, which has been organized on the third anniversary of the great commander’s martyrdom, will conclude on Thursday.

A number of international figures and resistance front personalities are taking part in the international event.

Lt. General Soleimani, who was the commander of the IRGC Quds Force, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3, 2020.
