Program Held in Gaza Mosques to Assess Quran Memorizers’ Skills

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awqaf Ministry in the Gaza Strip held a program in two mosques in the coastal enclave to assess the Quranic skills of boy and girl memorizers.

Twelve boys and 19 girls who are students of the Gaza Holy Quran Institute attended the program.

It was held under the title of “Reciting (Entire) Quran in One Session”, according to Al-Quds.net website.

The Khalid ibn Walid Mosque hosted the program for girls while the event for boys was held at al-Hassayina Mosque.

A number of officials, including Awqaf ministry deputy Abdul Hadi al-Agha, director of Quranic affairs department Muhammad Salim, director of Quran memorizers department Zyad Ahmed, and director of Quran teaching department Hamid al-Najjar oversaw the implementation of the plan.

Al-Agha speech hailed the gathering of boys and girls in houses of God for reciting the Quran.

He also lauded the good reception of spiritual events such as Quranic programs in the Gaza Strip.

The official expressed hope for achievement of the objectives in Quranic fields.

Quranic activities are very common in the Gaza Strip and Quran recitation and memorization programs are held there all over the year.
