It will be organized on April 17-18 to evaluate the Quranic knowledge and skills of those willing to take part in a nationwide Quran competition, echoroukonline.com website reported.
Those interested can register for taking the exam by April 13, the ministry said in a statement.
It added that only those who have obtained a Quran memorization certificate two years ago or earlier can take the exam.
Algeria is an Arab country in North Africa. It borders Morocco to the west, Mauritania and Mali to the southwest, Niger to the southeast, Libya to the east, Tunisia to the northeast, and has a short border with Western Sahara to the west.
Muslims make up about ninety-nine percent of Algeria’s population.
