TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quranic center in Quetta, Pakistan, has organized online competitions on Quran and Adhan recitation.

The Nur al-Wilaya Qurani Center’s contest is held online due to the restrictions introduced to stem the coronavirus outbreak.

The competition for children and teenagers under the age of 13 features recitation of any verse of the Quran in the style of prominent Qaris like Muhammad Sidiq Minshawi, Mustafa Ismail and Shahat Anwar.

The participants aged 14 and more record a video file of their recitation of certain verses and submit it to the center via the internet.

Those taking part in the Adhan category are also required to send a video file of their Adhan recitation imitating the styles of masters such as Mustafa Ghalwash, Abduk Fattah Taruti and Abdul Naeem Toukhi.

Winners will be announced and awarded at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
