Knowing the concept of first sin is the fundamental prerequisite for knowing the difference between salvation in Islam and Christianity's view.
"Salvation in Allameh Tabataba'i's view, considering Christianity's common view" Written by Mostafa Azadian was published few weeks ago. In the first part of the book, salvation from Christianity's viewpoint has been considered in three chapters.
In chapter one, the nature of salvation has been talked about and issues such as human, sin and the role of Jesus in human salvation has been surveyed. Factors needed for salvation like selection, invitation, re-birth, faith and good deed has been commented about in chapter two. Chapter three is about sin results and its effects.
In part two of the book salvation, factors needed for it and its results has been considered. A part of the book reads "Christians have named their religion "salvation religion" and believe that since all human beings have inherited sin and its consequences from Adam, they have no choice but to convert to Christianity. Jesus is the savior of all humans. Therefore, the concept of salvation in Christianity means freeing from sin and its effects.
However, in Islam salvation has another meaning, because Muslims do not believe in the first sin. Islam has expresses explicitly that all human beings are born with a pure and innocent soul, without any sin and offence. Therefore, Islam's view and ideology is more comprehensive complete than Christianity.
The book was first published in the current year by Imam Khomeini's educational and research institute at 22000 Rials.
