Political group: If a society is fraught with religiously purified people, not only will professional rat race disappear, but also meritocracy will govern the appointments.
Iqna reported Hussein Bushehri, addressing clergymen and basijis on Imam Hussein's birth anniversary, saying: Imam Hussein's life must be the model for all, and particularly guardians. Guardians protect the values and thus are responsible for safeguarding Islamic boundaries.

Bushehri referred to a Qodsi hadis and said: Allah said 'Hussein is protector of the Quran. I have rewarded him with martyrdom and he is the best martyr.' Allah knows Imam Hussein and, as the prophet once implied, if it were not for Imam Hussein, nothing would remain of Islam.

He added: In Islam only those deeds are accepted by Allah that are done solely for Him. Imam Hussein's deeds were pure in terms of the doer and the deed itself. Only he would be able to continue the prophet's mission for human salvation.

Bushehri further stated: Soul purification has three stages; the first one is dealing with Allah. Quran refers to this stage and says:' The Muslim warriors bestow their lives and families to Allah and receive Paradise in return.' The second is Snicerety; i.e. the believer does something merely for the sake of Allah and does not expect to be compensated.

The third and the highermost stage is donating your life to Allah, and this is precisely what Imam Hussein and his companions did. In this case, the donator does not heed the value of his donation, but hopes that he has managed to compensate part of his debt to Allah.

Bushehri concluded: We witness that in countries such as India, ascetics and Buddhists call Imam Hussein's name and then go through fire without being hurt. This is only a sign of Imam Hussein's position before Allah.
