“The Israeli genocide must be stopped, and our nation’s leaders must listen to those who are stating clearly that there must be an immediate ceasefire and justice for the Palestinian people,” National Executive Director Nihad Awad said in a statement.
“A prerequisite for justice is the recognition that the Palestinian people are human beings, not ‘collateral damage’ or animals to be slaughtered at will by an occupying army.
“The absolute immunity Israel alone is granted by the Global North to defy international norms and laws of war as it carries out a campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide is resulting in a brutality targeting innocent civilians the world has not witnessed since the Middle Ages.”
Israel launched its relentless attacks on the besieged coastal enclave and cut off water, food, medicine, fuel and power, targeting Gaza's schools, hospitals, residences, and places of worship, after Palestinian resistance groups launched a surprise attack against the regime on October 7 in response to decades of atrocities.
