Titled “Understanding Quran”, the book was unveiled in a ceremony at Sri Lanka’s National Library. The library has dedicated a special space to introducing Iranian culture and literature on the occasion of the Islamic Revolution Anniversary.
During the ceremony, six new books published by the Iranian cultural center in Sri Lanka were unveiled.
"Understanding Quran" contains an interview with Martyr Ayatollah Beheshti by Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Akbar Ejeie in Isfahan in Farvardin 1356 (1977).
Key topics of the book include understandability of Quran for everyone, keys for understanding Quran, comprehending the relationship between Quranic verses, understanding definite commandments of Quran, expanding and generalizing Quranic verses, the difference in people’s understandings of Quran, understanding mysterious words and similar verses in Quran, how to use interpretive versions, and question and answers on the mentioned issues.
The original book was published in Persian back in 2006 in Tehran.
During the ceremony in Sri Lanka, the Iranian cultural center also presented to the central library a total of 300 copies of books about different Iran-related topics such as history, geography, literature, and Islamic civilization in English, Sinhala, and Tamil languages.
