Iran Armed Forces Ready to Share Experiences in Coronavirus Battle with Regional Countries
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces are ready to share their experiences in the fight against the coronavirus with regional countries.
In separate messages to his counterparts and defense ministers of regional countries, Major General Baqeri highlighted the Armed Forces’ major role in the operations and efforts made to contain COVID-19 in Iran.
He added that failing to properly fight this infectious disease could lead to its further spread and that could undermine the health of nations.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s successful conduct in containing the virus can be an example for other Muslim countries and friendly and neighboring countries, he went on to say.
The coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China, in December has infected over 3.4 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is nearly 240,000.
