Karbala Incident Featured in New Vol. of Mali Shia Magazine

The 34th volume of “Sakina-Ashura” Magazine published by Shia Students Association in the Republic of Mali has been specified to discussions on Karbala incident in the French and Arabic languages.




The 12-page colorful edition investigates the events in Ashura and rituals on the occasion of Arba’een (40 days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) in Ashura).



The editorial of the issue titled “Crying for Imam Hussein (AS), Why?” explains what happens to the household of the Imam (AS) after his martyrdom in Karbala.



“Bamako Cries for Imam Hussein (AS)” is the title of another article of the volume which, along with pictures of mourning ceremonies on Tasu’a and Ashura (9th and 10th of Muharram) in various Shia centers in Bamako such as Al-Zahra (SA) Islamic Center, introduces Muharram mourning rituals in this country.



Another article of the issue titled “Of Such a Father, Such a Son” introduces examples of sacrifices of Imam Ali (AS) noting that Imam Hussein’s (AS) sacrifice in Karbala was the continuation of the same path directed by the first Infallible Imam (AS).



News on Islamic Hijab in France, new Islamic uniform for female police in Canada and the opportunity for Muslim women to study medical sciences in one of the states in Canada are among the other articles of the magazine.



The volume also covers some political news on Iran-West negotiations on nuclear issues, martyrdom of Hassan Al-Laqees in Lebanon and demise of ayatollah Taheri.



There is also an article on the occasion of Safar Month featuring the demise anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
