Online Quranic Courses Held for Women in Iraq’s Najaf

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A number of courses featuring lessons on Quranic teachings and concepts were held for women in Najaf, Iraq.

 

The Family Guidance Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussain (AS) holy shrine organized the courses virtually, according to Qaaf news agency.

The lessons were offered weekly based on the curriculum of the Imam Hussain (AS) Quranic Studies School.

The participants learned lessons on Quran recitation rules, Tafseer (interpretation), and Quranic sciences.  

A number of top experts taught the lessons, according to the report.

Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.

There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the country in recent years.
