TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mosques in Jordan continue their Quranic activities in summer despite the coronavirus pandemic.

According to al-Ghad news website, 200 Quranic centers in mosques across the country are holding Quranic courses in the summer.

The in-person courses are only being held for boys and men, Ismail al-Khutaba, an official said.

As well as memorization of the Quran, the courses, taken by those aged 6 to 17, also include lessons on Islamic teachings and values, he noted.

The courses will continue until August 15, al-Khutaba said.

They are aimed at helping students make the best of their summer holidays, the official added.

The Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry of Jordan has also organized online Quranic courses this summer.
