Themes of ‘Rabee’-ul-Shahadah’ Int’l Festival Announced
According to Al-Kafeel website, it will be organized by the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, from April 20 to 24.
The influence of Ashura virtues in strengthening the Fatwas on holy defense, comparative research studies about the Karbala uprising and today’s situation regarding holy defense, western media interpretation of Fatwas on holy defense and its consequences, the effect of Fatwa in preventing tribal conflicts and creating national unity, role of women in defending religious virtues and role of media in achieving victory are some of the themes of the program.
The themes also include the influence of religious symbols in the formation of a defender's character (Burayr ibn Khuzayr as a role-model), the result of good upbringing (Umm-ol-Banin as a role-model), human rights in Ashura concepts, the viewpoint of sources of emulation, and the influence of supplication in spiritual promotion of defenders (Al-Thughour supplication of Sahifa Sajjadiyya as an example).
The committee has also announced that the papers sent to the festival organizing committee should not have been printed so far and should be written in 15 to 30 pages.
March 19 is the deadline for submitting the papers to the Teachings Section of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine or Nahjul Balagha Institute at the Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine.
The festival is annually held on the birthday anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS).
