Speaking during a visit to the Karbala Satellite TV headquarters by a delegation from IQNA, Ala al-Salaami, director of the TV channel’s news section, said it also covers religious, cultural, arts and other fields.
He said it has some 50 correspondents in different countries, including in Europe, the US and Canada.
The delegation also met with director of the TV channel, Haidar Nouri Jilokhan, who hailed IQNA’s media activities and coverage of Quranic events.
He also announced the Karbala TV’s readiness to use the capacities of the Tehran-based Quran news agency.
Jilokhan said the Karbala TV was established some ten years ago and has opened offices in several countries.
He added that the Karbala Satellite Channels Group has also launched a satellite Quran TV as well as al-Safir Satellite TV that broadcasts programs in English.
As for other activities of the group, he said it recently organized the 5th edition of the al-Nahj Cinema Festival that promote moderate and moral cinema.
The IQNA delegation has traveled to Iraq to visit Quranic institutes and centers affiliated to the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Ali (AS), Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in the cities of Najaf and Karbala.
