Jordan Int’l Quran Contest for Women Slated for March 9

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 14th edition of Jordan’s international Quran competition for women will be held next month.

 

According to al-Ray news website, it is slated for March 9-14 in the Arab country’s capital of Amman.

A total of 30 women from 29 Islamic and European countries will be present in the Quranic event.

They will compete on memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.

Memorizer of the entire Quran Fatemeh Shirazi will be Iran’s contender at the event.

The panel of judges will include Quran experts from Jordan and a number of other countries.

Meanwhile, Jordan’s national Quran competition for women has been underway since February 11.

The national contest is being held in 7 categories of Quran memorization with the participation of 1,600 women from across the country.
