According to al-Yawm al-Sabi news website, Majdi Abu Ubaid, head of the engineering affairs center of the ministry, said this will be the first group of restored mosques that will be open to public in February.
He added that they have all been renovated by the Awqaf ministry.
Most of them (14) are in Sohag Governorate, he noted, adding that the rest are in the governorates of Beheira, Monufia, Minya, Beni Suef, Giza, Qena, Qalyubia, Sharqia, Dakahlia, and Suez.
