‘Woman in Contemporary Islamic Thought’, Theme of Forum in Tunisia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The status of women in the contemporary Islamic thought was investigated in an international forum organized in Tunisia.

 

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Iranian Cultural Center in Tunisia cooperated in holding the program.

It was attended by a number of intellectuals and experts in the field of women and family affairs.

The Masarat Center for Human Studies and the Association of Muslim Women in Tunisia also contributed to organizing the international event.

Necessity of highlighting the role of Muslim women in resistance, introduction of Muslim woman as a role-model for the Islamic society, freedom of Muslims, fighting with Takfiri and Imperialist thought and Muslim women’s struggle for the freedom of Palestine and Al-Aqsa were among the themes discussed at the program.
