According to Mira’at al-Bahrain website, Farid Miftah, the deputy justice and Islamic affairs minister, said the plan will be implemented soon in coordination with the Sunni Awqaf Department.
He said there are many Bahraini citizens who can lead prayers or recite Adhan (call to prayers).
Miftah added that many of them would do it without demanding to be paid.
The decision came after Abdul Jalil Hamoud, a citizen of an Asian country who led prayers at Bin Shidda Mosque in Bahrain, was killed recently.
