Ramadan, Opportunity for Reviving Islamic Life
It will be organized by the Tebyan Center for Cultural-Social Activities on Thursday, July 2, on the occasion of the birthday of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS), Ava news agency reported.
The event will be hosted by the center’s main office starting from 9:00 a.m. local time.
Three Afghan thinkers and scholars will deliver speeches at the program on “Ramadan atmosphere and the importance of promoting the Quranic culture,”, “Imamate in the Quran and its role and status in society’s leadership”, and “confrontation of Islam and Zionism, and importance of the International Quds Day in the Quranic culture”.
Each lecture will be followed by a question and answer session.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Hijri calendar. This year, it began on Thursday, June 18.
During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.
They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran and doing charity work.
