Speaking at the closing ceremony of the national Quran competition called “Shokufeha” (blossoms) for young age groups, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi added that investments should be made to train Quranic talents so that they can help in implementing the plan for training 10 million memorizers of the Quran.
He referred to teenagers as those who have a high status before God, the Almighty, noting that many of the messengers of God and Imams (AS) were chosen for prophethood and Imamate in their teenage years.
“The hearts of teenagers are like uncultivated pieces of land in which whatever is sown will grow. Therefore, families should revive these pieces of land by Quranic teachings.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi said that two groups of people have no death in the world, martyrs and these whose hearts have been revived by the verses of the Quran.
“Thus we should acquaint our teenagers with the Quran so as to gain victory in all fields.”
He also stressed that those who stride on the path of the Quran, have taken great steps toward their perpetuity.
The culture ministry official went on to say that promotion of the Holy Quran’s message should become everyone’s main objective.
The Shokufeha National Quran Competition was held in two groups for boys and girls in the holy city of Mashhad.
