Muslim World Media Urged to Help Advance Diplomacy of Unity
Iran’s cultural attaché in Oman called on the media of the Muslim world to resist the anti-unity activities and provocations and help to advance the diplomacy of unity.
In an interview with IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Nasr Hemadi also highlighted the effectiveness of the diplomacy of unity against the Takfiri currents (those regarding their fellow Muslims as infidels).
He said the emergence of the Takfiri groups is rooted in Jumud (strictness) of thought and their history goes back to early Islam when the Khawarij emerged.
“Khawarij would also attributed Kufr (infidelity) to anyone who had an idea other than theirs. They sought to limit the scope of Islam to their own beliefs and the Takfiri currents are doing the same today.”
Iran’s cultural representative in Oman referred to unity as being in line with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), saying that if the sincere call for unity reaches the Muslim Ummah, they will welcome it.
He said the diplomacy of unity is a means for achieving unity, adding that through this diplomacy, the fruits of Islamic unity should be clarified for the Muslim Ummah.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hemadi pointed to stability and peace in Islamic countries and creation of the appropriate atmosphere for conveying the message of the Islamic Revolution as some of the fruits of unity.
He said in view of Imam Ali (AS), division and disunity is tantamount to Fitna (sedition).
The cleric urged Muslims to follow the Seerah of Imam Ali (AS) who prevented discord and Fitna in the Muslim Ummah.
He said in the current situation in which the enemies exploit every opportunity to fan the flames of disunity, Muslims must avoid any kind of division and refuse to allow the enemies to misuse the differences.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hemadi noted that the West has given a great role to its media for spreading Fitna and division and said that Muslim world media should stand against the provocations and anti-Islamic propaganda of the Western media against Islam.
He went on to say that Islamic seminaries to draw up the ideological bases of unity and fraternity among Islamic schools of thought.
