-- Shia Source of Emulation, Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Taghi Modarresi urged Islamic movements to follow Imam Ali’s (A.S.) Seerah (the way he lived) in their activities and programs.
Addressing a number of Iraqi politicians in the holy city of Karbala on Sunday, July 12, Ayatollah Modarresi said, “In reviewing the seerah of Imam Ali (AS) we come to know that his sermons on monotheism and divine teachings have been delivered after he undertook the caliphate (leadership of the Islamic Ummah)”, almodarresi.com reported.
“Such a moral quality in Imam Ali (A.S.) should be a byword for Islamic movements’ authorities; that is to say, after being entrusted with political, military, or administrative responsibilities, they should follow in Imam Ali’s (A.S.) footsteps and never forget God.”
“God tries His servants with different sufferings to let the patient and pure servants be known. When the society faces challenges, it is the responsibility of the Islamic Ummah to remove the problems”, he further added.
He referred to the virtues of the month of Rajab, and concluded, “Islamic scholars and institutions should engage in raising people’s awareness of the significance of performing religious and spiritual rituals and acts of worship”.
